Change

I'm convinced that change can often be a good thing. Granted, change just for change sake often produces change that is meaningless and actually brings about problems otherwise not realized. We recently made a change at church that was brought about by necessity. We moved our Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer meeting from the church campus to the local Retirement Community; a beautiful apartment home for the elderly. The need came about because of the current children and teen activities being held at the church facilities.

The change is in its second week and I think it might just work. The fact that we are not in the "church building" has a few a bit uncomfortable but that's okay. The music was great this evening with the acoustics reverberating in our meeting room. The song selections was excellent and celebrated the Lord's resurrection. The prayer time was a blessing, the interaction during the study was great and the fellowship was sweet.

What has been a bit fearful is in fact turning into blessing. Praise the Lord. Change can be good.
